Junior Full Stack Developer (React Native + Spring Boot)
Full-time Bengaluru (On-site) · 1–2 years
We're looking for a Junior Developer to help build and ship OMS's mobile and backend applications. You'll work across the stack — building cross-platform, offline-capable mobile apps with React Native and REST APIs with Spring Boot — and be involved in the full release cycle, including publishing to the Google Play Store. This is a hands-on role with plenty of mentorship and room to grow.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile features using React Native
- Build and consume RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and maintain offline-first data storage and sync between the mobile app and backend using WatermelonDB, so the app stays usable without connectivity
- Prepare and publish app builds to the Google Play Console — signing, versioning, and release tracks
- Fix bugs, write clean code, and participate in code reviews
- Collaborate with senior developers, testers, and product stakeholders
- Write basic unit tests and help with debugging and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Working knowledge of React Native (components, navigation, state, API calls)
- Strong ReactJS knowledge
- Hands-on experience with WatermelonDB for offline-first data storage and background sync
- Basic understanding of Java and the Spring Boot framework
- Familiarity with REST API concepts (JSON, HTTP methods, status codes)
- Understanding of the Google Play Store publishing process, or eagerness to learn it
- Version control experience with Git
- Willingness to learn and take feedback
- NodeJS or another server-side JS framework is a plus
- Experience with iOS App Store submission is a plus
- Exposure to databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is a plus
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Android build tooling (Gradle, keystores) is a plus
- Understanding of authentication (JWT / OAuth) is a plus
